Josh Blue was amazing – totally worth it. He had some new material – he’s got a wife and baby now, so that was some funny stuff, and he got a little political – also hilarious. Nikki and I were hoarse by the end of the show from laughing so hard! He also came out after the show and did autographs and photos – I had him sign my ticket, and got a photo:
Afterwards was beer in the hot tub at Nikki’s, and failed flirting via text messaging. At least I didn’t drop my phone in the hot tub!
I’ve finished basting Adam’s blanket (basted the bejesus out of it), I think, and tomorrow I’m going to attempt to quilt it on my sewing machine without royally screwing it up, since the backing is fleece and thus stretchy. It would be a lot smarter if I were to get a walking presser foot for my machine first, but Adam’s birthday is the 27th, so I don’t really have the time. If all goes well tomorrow, there will be photos soon. I should also preshrink some of the border fabric I got for my flower garden quilt… I’m getting so close to being finished!
Supposedly next Saturday (27th) is skydiving out of Snohomish, but I have my doubts on if we’ll be able to jump or not. The weather has to be clear – or at least a really high cloud ceiling – and the forecast is for rain, which would mean no jump. It’s also the last weekend of the year they’ll do dives, so we may get pushed back till Spring. I know Nikki’s not loving that idea, but maybe I can get more people to come with if we get pushed back!
