HooRAH for the win for Obama! It’ll be interesting to see how the next four years go and what kinds of changes are made. But seriously – awesomeness.
On the disturbing side, my next door neighbors have already swapped out the orange bulbs in their “Halloween Lights” for alternating red and green. We’re not even halfway through the first week of November and they’ve got Christmas lights up. Shudders. (Disregard that I’m going to the Trans-Siberian Orchestra this weekend.)
Halloween was awesome though – the Halloween costume was a success after a setback or two, and it turned out great. I ended up going to my cousin’s party, and had a blast. Having to be able to drive myself home was kind of a bummer, but I had a lot of fun and met some awesome people. Some of the costumes were great too – my cousin’s girlfriend was a hot air balloon – awesome costume – two guys dressed up as the guys from Boondock Saints and pulled it off well – another guy used a big shallow box and turned himself into a TI calculator… I can’t wait for the next party.
My pumpkin turned out pretty cool too, but he didn’t seem to appreciate the weather, so a couple days ago I named him Sloppy Joe and got a shovel to put him in the yard waste bin.
My brother got accepted to the Disney College Program in Walt Disney World to start in January and stay till June or so, so I may have to go visit him at some point while he’s there 😉
I finally found a hand-quilting class, so I’ll finally learn something about hand quilting this weekend. Then I’ll have more motivation to order that quilting frame and to find a backing fabric for my quilt!
