The laptop I got for high school graduation has been going downhill over the last four years. I’ve had to replace both the hard drive and the backlight for the screen, and when the graphics card or processor started to go, I decided it was time to replace the whole darn thing. My new baby is a little bigger than I’d expected – I hadn’t realized Lenovo was making the ThinkPads with widescreen now, but I was also able to get it with Windows XP preloaded on it, so I’m really happy about that. It seems to be a good machine, though I’ll likely still primarily use my desktop (once the novelty of the new laptop has worn off, at least) and this time I was smart and got the four year warranty instead of the one-year!
Nikki and I went over to Pullman for the Apple Cup this year – my first Apple Cup in Pullman. The game itself was awesome, even though we lost. The two worst teams in the Pac-10 (and the country) took two overtimes to end the game. I couldn’t believe it when the Cougs got a field goal with two seconds left in the fourth quarter! So frustrating! I was hoarse for the rest of the day from screaming on the field.
I was going to rant about the road trip from hell going over and back, but I’ve decided it would probably be best to not post that online. Let’s just say it was a nightmare and I’m still stiff and sore, and we won’t be doing that again anytime soon!
