and it’s a Hooray Beer night. Day seven being that I have now worked seven days in a row, and finally have a day off tomorrow. This holiday scheduling is getting exhausting, with trying to still get ready for Christmas! To top it off, I worked closing (off at 10:30p) last night, and had to be at work at 8am this morning. Combine that with having to get up early to move my ten foot quilt frame into my bedroom to get the upstairs recarpeted, and I got at most five and a half hours of sleep last night. Ugh. Thus, Hooray Beer. And Hooray Laundry, since I’m now more or less out of clean clothes.
Tomorrow I need to work on Christmas shopping, and shoe shopping (I’m hoping I can get Docs that fit) since the sole of my right work shoe broke a couple days ago, and hopefully getting signed up at 24 Hour Fitness, because if I don’t I’ll go bonkers from not being able to work off stress, and then I’ll die when the Chilly Hilly bike ride comes around mid-February. I wonder if I can justify sleeping in? At least after tomorrow, chocolate truffles will be done! Perhaps I’ll make Snowflake cookies, too.
I finally watched the first (new) Transformers movie last night. Somehow I managed to escape childhood in the late 80s/early 90s without ever watching a Transformers movie or cartoon that I can remember. The movie was great, and I’ll have to borrow the second one from Nikki.
The cold weather the last few days has been pretty weird – it seems unusual for it to be this cold here without ANY humidity to speak of – no ice on the cars or roads, and everything is full of static from the dry air. It was 17 degrees out this morning when I left for work. Heater at Big 5 leaves something to be desired – like 10 degrees or so – so we’ve all been bundled up to work. Hand warmers, base layers… Brr.
But now, after a very exhausting week, pizza with my grandparents for dinner, and a couple Coronoas, just being flopped on my bed with my laptop feels absolutely wonderful.
