It must be a combination of not feeling well with reading a disturbing book right before sleep, but I had such strange and vivid dreams last night that when I woke up startled from something at about 6am, I was surprised to be in my own bed. I don’t really recall the dream, other than that it didn’t make a lot of sense and was disturbing – I’m thinking it’s a good thing I don’t remember details – but WEIRD. I also was still tired after 9+ hours of sleep when I finally got up this morning, though that may be related more to not feeling well and that I wasn’t sleeping well (or enough) earlier in the week.
And no, I haven’t seen Invictus yet. I don’t recommend the book Small Sacrifices by Ann Rule, though. Very disturbing. Somehow, though, as disturbing as all the “true crime” books I’ve read are, they’re also fascinating. And definitely a change of pace from Jane Austen or L. M. Montgomery!
On another weird (and freaky) note, a teacher I had in high school for math came into the store today. I didn’t like him when I had him for a teacher – he didn’t teach well compared to some of the other teachers, and he was a bully at times – so when I saw him come in the store I found something I had to do in a different part of the store! He was kind of a jerk (and in a HUGE rush, judging by how loud and fast he was talking) when he came into the store today, too. Sheesh.
Happier things – I got the invite to my friend Whitney’s baby shower, and I managed that day off work as well, so I’m super excited to see her again. I haven’t seen her since her wedding last June! The part of her present I ordered online came in the mail yesterday, exactly what I was looking for, so that’s super exciting too.
