So it wasn’t actually homework that my computer ate, but I realized the other day that it looked like when I had to set my computer back to factory settings in November that two whole years of photos didn’t get copied back. I dug out my external hard drive today to transfer them back to my laptop (and to back up more recent photos), and my computer says that folder already exists… My computer is set to show hidden files and folders, so go figure. Dad googled the problem, and found this solution by “TAshkar18″ that worked:
“Go to My Computer –> Tools –> Folder Options –> View(Tab) –> Uncheck Hide protected system folders(Recommened)” (from http://www.pctools.com/forum/showthread.php?36172-Windows-Folder-Disappeared!-%28WME%29)
Thank goodness for the internet!
I bought a flat of primroses at Costco a couple weeks ago – multiple colors, 12 4″ pots – and finally planted them today. I’d been keeping them more sheltered in the covered area of the porch because it still freezes at night sometimes, but decided it was time to plant them. I had some fun playing with my camera in the yard, too… I’m going to end up with a few million photos of squirrels on PhotoBucket if this keeps up! I also spent some time playing with the formatting on my blog… Decided a lazy day was allowed since I’ve also got tomorrow off, and I survived the last week and worked at 4:30am yesterday for inventory. Inventory went smoothly, thank goodness, and I’m so glad it’s over!
Grandma finally sold her house – she and Grandpa moved into Wesley Homes last year – so we used that as an excuse to celebrate and I got to go out to Happy Hour with most of mom’s family. It was a fun night, especially since I’m finally getting to be “one of the grown ups” at family stuff (about time, I’m 27 now).
