One of my stepsisters had a baby girl last Tuesday! (Quite possibly the cutest baby ever) I’ve had a bunny in the works for a while (both bunny and dress patterns, once again, by SIDRUNsZOO), but I didn’t get to start the dress until after the baby was born, since she didn’t find out if she was having a boy or girl until the birth. I got the dress done yesterday, and since it was a little wrinkly and wiggly, I actually blocked this one. In the photo, you can see it pinned down as it dries. I’ll be using ribbons to tie in bows through the button-holes again, instead of buttons, to make it as baby-safe as I can, and the eyes are safety eyes with the stiff plastic washers on the back.
I’ve been trying to figure out any crafting projects that don’t involve as much repetitive motion, as my right wrist informed me yesterday that it is time to take a break from crocheting for a little. Unfortunately, my sewing machine isn’t really at a good set-up right now for much in the way of sewing, so I may just go crazy and log a bazillion hours on my kindle for a week or two. The only body-piece I have left on my dragon is the head, and then I’ve got spikes and wings to do, so the hiatus from crocheting may drive me crazy! There are so many other patterns I want to try, too.
