Progress! I’ve finally begun my Jordan Top! I was afraid to start this project at first, because when I tried to read through the directions I kept getting horribly confused and overwhelmed. I’ve never been much of one for reading crochet charts before, either, but the charts have been a lifesaver in this project. In this photo (and at this point) I’m at row 15 of 36 rows of the pineapple lace pattern, and I’m pretty happy with it so far. I’m seriously considering buying the more expensive yarn I’d liked – a bamboo/silk blend in a light green – for another top now that I know I can do it. I’m also wondering if blocking wires might be the best way to block out the hem once this is finished, but I’m not sure yet. I’m looking forward to working on this more on Tuesday when I go visit my Grandma for the Sit-and-Knit where she lives.
I’ve been making more progress on my cross stitch, too, though not nearly enough for it to be done in time for my Grandma’s birthday.
Other works in progress that I really ought to get back to include my Klara mermaid from Diana’s Christmas Crochet-A-Long, as well as another long-legged bunny by Kristi Tullus (my cousin Julia has a baby girl due in March) and a dragon by Kristi Tullus that I started over the summer and haven’t touched since August.
Time to start finishing these other works in progress… after I finish my Jordan Top 😉
