Here’s a delayed posting for a completed project! There will be another delayed posting next week… I have to wait until the birthdays are actually had to post the photos of what I made for a gift! This one was made for a friend of mine at work. No reflection on personality, she likes beach stuff 😉 And as a hilarious bonus, evidently it scared the living daylights out of her cat! Monkey and Mia don’t seem to react to my crocheted object so far, other than to occasionally play with them (the Santas I had under the tree at Christmas ended up relocated halfway down the hall).
I’d purchased another fantastic pattern from Diana over at MyGurumi – Wesley the Crab. As always, her pattern was very easy to follow, and pretty much idiot-proof. I love how the eyes stick out from it’s head, and it was easy to stuff the yarn ends in the eyeballs to keep them firm. Like her crab, I opted to have a lighter colored belly on my crab, a little more realistic, I think.
I also received the hat that she made as the New Year’s Giveaway, which is fabulous. I’ll have to get somebody to take my picture in it, so that I can share it as well! I love that it’s wool, so my hair doesn’t stand on end when I take it off!
