Everything has been covered in yellow pollen lately, and we’ve even been able to see a yellow tint to the cement. Monkey, being her brilliant self decided that one of the dust baths she enjoys so much on the cement was in order today, and we could see the pollen stuck to her fur (the light/yellow tints to her black fur in the photo) as she rolled around on the driveway. Super-allergenic Monkey! She’s still trying to put her fur to rights after a real bath tonight to de-pollinate the kitty!
Destin and I (mostly Destin) got the ground tilled up around my raised beds today, pulled out a ton of big rocks, and got it smoothed out in order to lay paving stones around the beds so the grass won’t grow right up to the beds and mowing around them will be easier. We got the stones laid out, but we still need a lot more sand to level them and then to fill the gaps between. Pics will come later – I didn’t take any earlier and it’s too dim now. It’ll look really cool though, and I’m planning to at least get my sunflowers moved to a bed next weekend!
