…in this world nothing can be said to be certain, except death and taxes.
—Benjamin Franklin, in a letter to Jean-Baptiste Leroy, 1789
April 15th: a deadline of stress and doom – or sometimes an unexpected cash bonus – all around the United States. I’m usually very good about filing my taxes early, but this year I left it to the last minute… and filed them about an hour ago. The procrastination was largely due to the confusing bits of having to file taxes on my sewing as well, as I have a small business license for the sewing items I sell. With much thanks to my dad’s fiancee, I was able to get it decently sorted to a rather decent outcome. Can I get back to sewing now??
But thank heavens that is done for another year!
