Schnitzel and Boo Mini Quilt Swap
My mini quilt is DONE, label and all! I finished the label and got it sewn onto the quilt today, got it and the other goodies I’m sending with it wrapped and boxed up to ship tomorrow! For the label, I ironed the fabric onto two sheets of freezer paper, and sent it through my inkjet printer. Heat from the iron sets the ink, and voila! I also wrote a letter to go with the quilt 🙂 Since I’ll be sending it priority mail tomorrow, I’ll be doing a full post on just this mini quilt later this week, after my partner has received it. I’ve blurred out names/addresses in the photos above, so it doesn’t spoil the surprise before my partner gets it. I’m both excited and nervous to send it… I sure hope my partner likes it!
Polaroid Greeting Swap
I got the last five little blocks finished for the Polaroid Greeting Swap tonight! I’ve been working on writing in the greeting cards this week, and I’ve got
13 done… 6 to go! Hopefully I can get them finished off tonight/tomorrow so I can send the lot out tomorrow when I go to the post office to mail my mini quilt. Correction: All of my cards are now done as well, and will be going out tomorrow evening! I want to double check that the envelopes have enough postage before I send them off.
There’s nothing to take photos of yet, but I’ve started another bubble dress for one of the ladies at work that has a baby girl due this month. The smallest size the pattern comes in is 12 months, so she’ll have to grow into it, but I found some adorable pink, girlie fabric to use. So far I’ve got the fabric pre-washed, and the lining pieces cut out. I hope to get it finished off in the next couple of days, and I’ll share photos when I do!
